Inability to perform a function is known as impairment, which if results in restriction of performance of an activity, leads to Disability; which can further be termed as Handicap if the condition limits the fulfillment of a role that is normal for an individual. Psychological rehabilitation is required for patients who give up hope of a normal or near normal lifestyle due to their disability.
